Rund attends Omareyah School in Amman. With the assistance of her teacher, Mrs. Wedad, Rund organized and ran Hour of Code Classes for twelve 8th to 10th grade girls and started a school club called CompuGeeks with activities being held over ten weeks (30 hours) for thirteen 8th to 10th graders. She is very committed to training others in tech. Rund participated in and was recognized in the following competitions:
- Mini Marathon (Princess Sumaia University for Technology) – 2nd place;
- Future Programmer Contest – 8th place;
- Jordan Olympics in Informatics – 15th place;
- Jordan University Collegiate Programming Contest – 12th place
Rund is now is taking an advanced C++ course at Princess Sumaia University for Technology. She is also taking on-line courses through Edrak and Edx in: Internet of Things, Nanotechnology, Time Management, 6 Keys to Success, and Design Thinking.
Zain, a leading telecommunication company throughout the Middle East will fully fund her next project – a three-day hackathon for kids and their parents about game design and development. There will be courses for children and parents after which there will be a competition. She will work with fellow TechGirl, Tayma from Palestinian Territories on the curriculum.
