Asmaa worked closely with AMIDEAST and the US Embassy to organize a girls and women empowerment program. She is a speaker in a workshop for girls and she addresses the importance of the civic engagement and social activism of women in Morocco. Asmaa’s girls’ coding camp project was shortlisted in the Miss Africa Seed Funding Program which funds projects in Africa that aim to empower girls in the region. She is currently awaiting results.
Asmaa was selected to be an Alghurair STEM Scholar, which provides a full scholarship to study in the Al Akhawayn University and includes leadership trainings and professional assistance throughout her four years of study. She was also selected as one of the three Moroccans who received AMIDEAST’s Tomorrow’s Leaders full scholarship to study at the American University of Beirut and to spend a semester in a university in the United States. She is making many exciting decisions. After finishing her exams, Asmaa plans to take an online MIT courses in computer science and problem solving and a math course from Harvard University
