{"id":1475,"date":"2022-09-29T01:50:00","date_gmt":"2022-09-29T05:50:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.legacyintl.org\/pfp\/?page_id=1475"},"modified":"2025-05-07T16:40:17","modified_gmt":"2025-05-07T20:40:17","slug":"qualifications","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.legacyintl.org\/pfp\/program-info\/qualifications\/","title":{"rendered":"Who are the Fellows?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h1>\n\t\tWho are the Fellows?\n\t<\/h1>\n\t<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;This program is designed for people with strong leadership skills who are <strong>early- to mid-career professionals<\/strong> and who are committed to making a lasting positive impact&nbsp;in their communities.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Entrepreneurs <\/strong>and <strong>Social Innovators.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Small &amp; medium business Owners and Managers<\/strong> who are investing in innovative socially conscious products and programs.<\/li>\n<li>Individuals working on youth <strong>workforce training and development<\/strong>, increasing job opportunities,&nbsp; building financial literacy, training in technology use and IT development.<\/li>\n<li>Individuals working in &nbsp;<strong>University <\/strong>incubators, accelerators, and job-readiness programs,&nbsp; focussed on business development, financial literacy, sustainable tourism, or economic development.<\/li>\n<li>Individuals working in <strong>Government Agencies\/Ministries<\/strong>, national <strong>policy offices,<\/strong> <strong>think-tanks<\/strong>, and offices&nbsp; building strategies to address unemployment and SME development.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\t<p>This is a 40-day program in the U.S.A<\/p>\n<p>May 20-June 27, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>These dates are subject to adjustment.<\/p>\n\t<p><strong>Please review these pages as well.<\/strong><\/p>\n\t<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.legacyintl.org\/pfp\/program-info\/\">Pr<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.legacyintl.org\/pfp\/program-info\/\">ogram Details<\/a><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.legacyintl.org\/pfp\/program-info\/right-for-you\/\">Is this Program Right for You?<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.legacyintl.org\/pfp\/program-info\/faqs\/\">Frequently Asked Questions<\/a><\/p>\n\t<h3><strong>Fellows must be:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>25-40 years old at the start of your program (example &#8211; applying for Spring 2025 be in this range by March 2025)<\/li>\n<li>A current citizen and resident of: Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco, or Tunisia. Must be living in country.<\/li>\n<li>Speak fluent English (enough to work full-time in a US fellowship)<\/li>\n<li>Have at least two years&#8217; work experience in their field&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Currently employed <\/li>\n<li>Interest in hosting reciprocal program for Americans in your country<\/li>\n<li>Have demonstrated strong leadership skills and commitment to community<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrates initiative, teamwork,&nbsp;and openness&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Those who have not previously traveled on a U.S. government funded program are preferred (within last 3 years.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Fellows are selected through an open, merit-based application process.<\/em><\/p>\n\n<h3><strong>Selection Timeline<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The application for 2025 <strong>closed as of&nbsp; Monday, May 13, 2024 at 12:00 PM EST<\/strong>.
