There is no cost to host organizations. Legacy International covers the travel and living expenses of the fellow.
The U.S. Department of State sponsors the fellows' J-1 visa and Legacy supports the fellows through the process. This includes a background check by US Homeland Security.
The primary responsibility is to provide substantive learning opportunities relevant to your fellow. Here is more on what that looks like.
Host organizations vary in focus and structure. Our fellows also have a range of focuses. Many types of organizations have been a fit such as NGOs, Start-ups, government organizations, businesses, and incubators.
The fellowships will be April 28th- May 21st (M-Th). The fellows spend Fridays with Legacy in training and project development.
