This is a truly wonderful opportunity - we really need to foster
understanding with different parts of the world. An exchange program with Indonesia is particularly appropriate at this time when there are so many unfortunate stereotypes, especially concerning Muslims. It always surprises me how many people you come across who express views such as “surprised you would let your son go to a Muslim country”,“Muslims hate us” etc – it is really good to see Seth being such a passionate ambassador and using his experiences in the program to say what wonderful and caring people he met. Thank you all – and good luck for the 2012 program!”
