We are seeking energetic U.S. applicants who have: an open mind a commitment to a greener world, and enjoy teamwork.

High school students from the USA are invited to apply for the 2012 Indonesia – US Youth Leadership Exchange (IULX).   This program offers 6 American students and a teacher/youth worker  the opportunity to expand their skills and knowledge in community participation and environmental awareness, travel internationally, and meet teens with similar interests from Indonesia in an fun, exciting two-way exchange. The IULX initiative highlights young people as our future leaders and important contributors to our communities.

    Indonesian applicants

    Indonesian students who participate in Legacy International’s programs are specially recruited by our partner in Indonesia, the Center for Civic Education Indonesia (CCEI) in Jakarta.  Each year, a limited number of positions are available for full scholarship.  Legacy, CCEI, and the U.S. Embassy choose particular schools in 2-3 cities in different regions of Indonesia from which students can apply for the scholarships. The regions and schools change each year, but only students at the selected schools can apply for the scholarship position.   If a student from another school or region has independent funding, or if another funding organization or foundation wishes to sponsor additional students from any region, they should contact CCEI in Indonesia.
